At Idlewild we appreciate some of the challenges of being a foster family. We celebrate your calling to serve children and want to help. At Idlewild November 12 is Orphan Sunday, a day to celebrate adoption, foster parenting, and those committed to serving those whose have lost their parents and families. Becoming a foster parent adds additional trips to the doctor, dentist, schools, and even to Court for hearings. None of those trips are paid for by the state. We celebrate Orphan Sunday by celebrating adoptions that have occurred during the last year.
